Todd Vanek is a Senior Scientist with more than 20 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California – Riverside (Riverside, CA) and he has spent most of his professional career working in the pacific northwest, primarily in the Portland, OR area. He joined Broadbent in 2022 in our Portland Division to both manage the Division of help expand our services provided there. His overall experience includes: project management of state-wide portfolios (Oregon, Washington, and Colorado); site assessments and remediation; Phase I and Phase II due diligence assessments; management and execution of groundwater monitoring programs; varying aspects of soil, sediment, surface water and air sampling; groundwater remediation; discharge monitoring; pollution prevention planning; and regulatory compliance. Typical project responsibilities include: annual budget development and forecasting; project life cycle planning; scope of work development, scheduling, regulatory correspondence, site closure assessments, and overall strategy development; site divestment support, and environmental support for construction and facility upgrades.
When away from work, Todd likes to spend his free time fly fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and watching professional soccer.
