Joshua Fortmann
Associate Geologist, PG, CEM

Josh is a Professional Geologist and Certified Environmental Manager with over 25 years of environmental site characterization and remediation experience. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Nevada, Reno. He joined Broadbent in 2016, after having worked for several other environmental engineering firms, where he currently serves as an Associate Geologist. With a strong background managing multifaceted projects for clients such as Washoe County Community Services Department (WCCSD), United States Forest Service (USFS), and multiple bureaus at the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP), Josh is adept at managing project budgets, schedule, scope, and stakeholder interaction. Specific experience includes managing field investigations utilizing multiple drilling and environmental media collection methodologies and managing projects for assessment and remediation of chlorinated organic solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, and metals. He is effective and efficient at problem solving and navigating complex and/or difficult projects and both clients and agencies appreciate his effectiveness and professionalism. Away from work, Josh enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, mountain biking, and sailing.
