RIFS Work Continues at Former Copper Mine

Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study (RIFS) activities continue at a former Copper Mine in Northern Nevada. Earlier this month Broadbent completed 2nd Quarter Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling of approximately 220 wells including monitor, domestic, and production wells screened across numerous water bearing zones representing different aquifers. The schedule allocated three weeks to complete the event; however, the work was completed early primarily due to focused pre-field planning efforts, outstanding field management, fair weather, and the dedication and hard work of the Broadbent field staff.

Approximately 350 wells are scheduled to be sampled in August as part of the 3rd Quarter Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling event. In addition to groundwater monitoring, various assessment and remedial activities at the site associated with RIFS efforts are ongoing.
